Attention : Objet Filmique Non Identifié ! Prenant pour appui Tell your children (« Dites-le à vos enfants ! »), un hilarant film de propagande anti-marijuana alarmiste et exagérateur produit dans les années 30, les scénaristes Kevin Murphy et Dan Studney firent d’abord de ce matériau en or une comédie musicale à succès à la fin des années 90, ouvrant grand pour ses auteurs les portes de Hollywood. Entre deux stupéfiants numéros musicaux, Reefer Madness dresse le portrait corrosif d’une Amérique puritaine et contradictoire. Cette Amérique dont l’on ne s’est jamais moqué avec autant de talent et d’éclats de rire que sous la plume des auteurs comiques de l’Âge d’Or hollywoodien, auxquels le film d’Andy Fickman adresse un bel hommage, sans avoir jamais à rougir de la comparaison avec ses aînés. Une bonne humeur communicative, un humour décapant, une satire sociale réjouissante, un casting déchaîné, Jésus Christ au cabaret et… des brownies. Faites tourner !

Caution: Unidentified Filmed Object! Taking for support Dites-les à vos enfants! (“Tell your children ”), a hilarious film about alarmist anti-marijuana propaganda produced in the 30s, the co-writers Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney turned this golden material into a successful musical at the end of the 90s, opening for its authors the big doors to Hollywood. Between two narcotic musical numbers, Reefer Madness draws the corrosive portrait of a Puritan and contradictory America. This Americawhich had never been made fun of with so much talent and bursts of laughter than by the pen of the comic authors of Hollywood´s Golden age, to which Andy Fickman's film makes a beautiful tribute, without ever having to have to surrender to the comparison with his elders. A good communicative humour, a pickling comedy, an amusing social satire, an unchained casting, Jesus Christ at the cabaret and… brownies. Don't miss it!
